Welcome to Archwood Green Barns in The Plains, Virginia’s gateway to horse country. Our farmers’ market has been in operation on Sundays for 26 years in 2024!
We are excited to announce our market season opening – April 7th! We will operate our Early Spring Market on Sundays in April. Then, even more vendors will join us for our Regular market season, May 5th through November 24th, on Sundays. Our farmer’ market will be held in the large barn and the adjacent parking lot. On December 1st, some vendors will move into the barn, and new seasonal vendors will join for the Holiday Markets. Our very last market of the year will be held on December 22nd.
Come enjoy a unique Sunday farmer’s market destination in Northern Virginia, rich in history and Virginia-Grown bounty. Just 8 miles west of Haymarket, on I-66, it’s close enough for a day trip for folks living in DC-VA-MD! Roam the indoor vendor stalls in the historic horse barn and browse outdoor vendor tents to find wholesome ingredients for a week of healthful meals and artisan gift items. Ask all the questions you like….the people selling the products are the ones who made it. We are producer-only, and proud of it!
Weather doesn’t have to play a factor with one of the few indoor markets in the area. And the variety of wonderful items will keep you coming back. Fruits, vegetables, herbs, plants, baked goods, dairy, ferments, meats & poultry are all available for the perfect locavore meal.
We have just about everything you could be looking for, and items that you may have never expected! Flowers, coffee, teas, artisan body-care, kombucha, made-to-order hot foods, artisan gifts, dog treats and so very much more to browse through and enjoy!
